Debate This - Great Party Fun

Debate This! is a new board game from GoldBrick Games. It's a game of debating, but not your average high-school debate team topics.

The game is best played with three teams of two or more players. At the beginning of the game, one player is chosen to act as judge. While the judge does not get to debate, they do have the hilarious job of choosing who wins each debate.

As the teams move around the board, they must debate all sorts of different topics from the card sets provided and also from the "Self Writeous" cards, which are written by the actual players of the game at the beginning.

The topics are generally not heavy ones, in fact, quite the opposite. If it is not your turn, you don't have any say in which side of the argument you'll be arguing. This leads to some hysterical moments. I found myself arguing that the U.S. government DOES have undeniable proof that aliens exist, that if the judge of the game were a character from the Wizard of Oz, he would be Glinda the Good Witch, that The Partridge Family would be a more fun family to be a member of than the Brady Bunch, and that "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" was the worst possible song to have stuck in your head.

The downside of the game is that people with chronic giggling problems (yours truly) sometimes have a difficult time debating, as they are too busy laughing. I suppose there are worse downsides.
