Travel Aids - How to Minimize Jet Lag and Deep Vein Thrombosis

Here are some tips to minimize jet lag and deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Wear loose clothing. Fly to Southeast Asia in comfort. Do not wear anything that binds and/or constricts body movement.

Also, wear shoes that are easy to remove. Women pack the heels away. Remove your shoes doing the flight. Wiggle the toes. Flex the feet at the ankles. Invest in a pair of slipper socks.

Remember the cocktail of choice is water and lime slices. Or water with lemon slices. Drinking water reduces jet lag and deep vein thrombosis. Bring citrus slices from home, if the air carrier does not offer them. Refrain from drinks containing alcohol and caffeine.

Keep the body hydrated and in comfort to prevent jet lag and DVT. DVT or deep vein thrombosis is a blood clot in legs which may flow to the lungs or brain. Stay healthy and enjoy the trip.
