Vietnam Foods - Nem Ran

Nem Ran is a traditional dish in Vietnam. It is available in expensive restaurants to budget food stalls. Nem Ran is found all round Vietnam.

Nem Ran is a fried roll. It consists of thinly chopped vegetables such as turnip, yam, cabbage or bean sprouts. The vegetables are mixed with soybean curds and thinly sliced mushrooms. The final mixture is wrapped with rice wrappings. The wrapped rolls are deep fried in hot oil until golden brown.

Nem Ran comes with a dipping sauce. Sometimes a pickled vegetable or a fresh garden salad is served with the rolls. Nem Ran is a traditional meal loved by all Vietnamese. Try it during your travel in Vietnam.
