I know MANY people who saw this movie and then have never gone into the water since. It really is that powerful, especially if you see it when you're young. What mistakes were in the movie?

Orca, the boat, is quite magical. The letters that say ORCA are sometimes rusty, sometimes shiny.

This all takes place in July, as it is prime summer season. However, some sort of disease seems to have struck the trees. When Brody walks through town, they don't have any leaves on them.

Apparently not everybody took this shark seriously. During one of the scenes that has people fleeing the water in terror, you can see a medical guy in white laughing about it near the bottom of the view.

They actually did a Mythbusters about this next one - the shooting a compressed tank to get it to explode. They could NOT get it to explode - the most they could do - with a lot of work - is get it to blast in a certain direction.
