The Best Pages to Add to your Website

Every successful business needs a website in todayís age. If you are just starting out then your website will help you grow and if you have been at it for a while it will give your fans, customers, and/or clients a place to find the most up to date information about you and your business. Building a website can be easy and fairly inexpensive, even free. There are certain features that make a website stand out and look professional, you may want to add several or all of them to your blog.

Landing Page

This is your welcoming page. Itís the first page that your potential customers come too. Everything you post should lead back to this page.It should convey exactly what your business is about what you have to offer. This page is pretty static. Itís a good idea to have an update area with a link to your most recent promotions, blogs, or work.

Contact

Customers may want to ask questions or hire you. This page will give them the information they need to touch base and interact with you. A good contact page gives customers the opportunity to contact you with privacy that comment sections donít offer.

Portfolio

The portfolio page is becoming more prominent in many types of businesses, especially those of individuals. Here would be a great place to add your resume, examples of your work, awards, and testimonials from past customers.

Blog

A blog doesnít need to be a daily chore but fresh, weekly content helps keep your focus on the customer, A blog can be about your process, articles covering information that is relevant to your customers, or updates about your services or products.

Sales Page

A sales page may be a useful addition if you sale physical or digital products, even if you sale certain services. You may use it to explain your services, price points, and/or package rates. All photographs should look professional and relate an actual representation of your work and/or products.

There are other pages that may be helpful, that are used less frequently but may still be relevant to your business. The About Me page is a short bio page, a place to tell your personal story. A FAQ page can be helpful if you are finding yourself answering the same questions over and over.

The important thing to remember when building a website is that you are representing yourself to the public. Be mindful of what you post and share with your customers. It might take some time to find the balance between your professional and personal styles but with practice it will come.
