When you open a MS Toolbar, it may be displayed in one of three positions:
• at the top of your program desktop below the Standard and Formatting toolbars
• at the bottom of your program desktop underneath the work area
• in the center of your work area. This is known as a floating toolbar
Toolbars are movable in the MS Office program. When they are anchored at either the top or bottom of the program desktop, you will see a dotted line to delineate the beginning of the toolbar. Position your mouse pointer over the dotted line until you see a four pointed arrow. Click and hold your left mouse key down then drag the tool bar to where you want it positioned. Tool bars can also be anchored along the side of the desktop area; however, this position is not generally a MS Office default anchor position..
When a toolbar is floating, the toolbar name is shown in a header strip, click and hold on the header strip to pick up the toolbar and move it to where you want it positioned. Another trick is to double click on the floating toolbar header strip to re-anchor it where it was last anchored.
