The Who have announced a brand new tour, though the dates and locations are limited. For now, the tour dates are all in Australia and New Zealand:
3/21/09 - North Harbour Stadium, Auckland, New Zealand
3/24/09 - Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane, Australia
3/26/09 - Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide, Australia
3/28/09 - Hope Estate Winery in Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia
3/29/09 - Formula 1 Grand Prix, Melbourne, Australia
3/31/09 - Sydney Acer Arena, Sydney, Australia
4/04/09 - Members Equity Stadium, Perth, Australia
In addition to the official tour dates, however, there are a few opportunities to see one or more members of The Who performing on stage. Roger Daltrey, front man of the The Who, recently performed with Pete Doherty in a charity show to benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust.
In other news of The Who, a DVD was recently released that depicts their 1977 performance in Kilburn, North London. The concert was performed to record music for the movie The Kids are Alright. It was also one of Kieth Moon's last performances. Also included on the new DVD is the 1969 London Coliseum performance that is a favorite of the band. Who fans finally get to see all of this in The Who At Kilburn.
