Ginevra or Ginny is Ron Weasley’s younger sister. Her hair is red and she is as freckled as Ron. She is a member of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Weasley’s large clan. Ginny is their only daughter.
Ginny Weasley is a year behind Harry Potter and Ron. She attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Professor Albus Dumbledore is the school's Headmaster. The sorting hat places the freckled young lady in the Gryffindor house.
Ginny has an exciting first year. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Ginny is kidnapped by the Basilisk. Harry Potter rescues the youngest Weasley.
Ginny is a good Quidditch player like her brothers. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Ginny takes over as the seeker when Harry cannot play. The seeker is a difficult position. Most important, she is a good student.
Ginny is Harry Potter’s love interest in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Harry is sixteen in the book. Well, when a young man is constantly dealing with dark wizards, he needs something bright. A bright girl with bright hair.
Miss Weasley has no love for Fleur Delacour who is engaged to Bill Weasley. She nicknames the French girl 'Phlegum.' Ginny changes her mind when Fleur refuses to end the engagement after Bill is disfigured.
In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Ginny gives Harry Potter a passionate kiss for his birthday gift. She is in Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley's wedding party. At the book's end, she and Harry are married with three children. Ginny names her children Lily, Albus and James. She and her husband are friends with another married couple, Ron and Hermione Weasley.
