Harry Potter Clues : Portkey

A portkey is a transportation device or portal. It used by wizards to travel from one place to the next. A pinch of glittery powder is thrown in a fireplace. In an instant, the wizards travel to a fireplace in their destination of choice.

Harry Potter and friends use a portkey to travel to the Quidditch World Cup. This is in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore creates a portkey. He and Harry use it to travel to Hogwarts. They make the journey to Hogarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in a blink of the eye.
