Flat Iron Review - h2pro Special Edition

I love to try out new gadgets and new hair styling tools. My latest new tool is the h2pro Ceramic Tourmaline Styling Iron – Special Edition. I have been using a good quality flat iron but technology is always improving so I was anxious to see how the h2pro would perform. The new technology in this iron is ceramic, tourmaline and Nano technology- Nano Ti and Nano TiO2 and Nano Ag.

Ceramic is a nonmetallic coating that is used on many new curling irons and flat irons. It can be heated instantly and produces an even constant heat.

Tourmaline is a semi-precious gem. It is a natural source of negative ions and far infrared rays.

Infrared heat warms the hair from the inside out causing less surface damage. The heat is distributed evenly making it easier and faster to straighten hair.

Nano technology is the technology of nano science, meaning very small particles. Nano-sized ions transfer the heat quickly, creating shine and eliminating static.

The above information is from my article New Technology in Hair Care.
From the information on the box; Nano Hi-Tech removes pollutants and bacteria from the hair; cleanses, purifies, styles and moisturizes hair.

The h2pro is lightweight, fits my hand and is comfortable to hold. The 1 inch plates have rounded edges. This is something I look for since sharp edges can scrape or tear the hair. The power switch and temperature control for the iron are on the inside. The power switch is easy to access and slides easily. The temperature control is a little difficult to read. Since the two sides of the iron do not open all the way, I was forced to hold the iron in the light, put on my reading glasses, and read the control from an angle. Once I got the hang of it, I had no problem. The good thing about the location of the temperature control is that it is difficult to change the setting by accident. The temperature range is from 140 to 450 so it is useful for all types of hair.

How does the h2pro actually work? I set the temperature on 300 degrees. (My hair is strong and I use heat protecting conditioners. If your hair is fragile or very fine, I suggest using not more than 250 degrees.) The iron reaches its full temperature in 15 seconds - a great feature for quick touch-ups. The first time I used the flat iron, I noticed that my hair smoothed out faster than usual. It took only one stroke down the hair strand instead of two or three. My hair seemed softer and in better condition after I had straightened it with the h2pro than previously with my former flat iron. I was impressed but I reserved my final judgment until I had used the h2pro on several other occasions. I am happy to say that I have noticed the same pleasing results with each successive use.

I recommend the h2pro Special Edition Ceramic Tourmaline Styling Iron to anyone who depends on her flat iron as much as I do.
