The Angel Craved Lobster

Hello, and welcome back. There are only a few more days of summer vacation left before I put the boys on the school bus again. I'm torn between excitement at having the house to myself again (and quiet so I can write!), and wishing they had a little longer.

And before your summer vacation is over, don't forget about our reader survey. The deadline for those is August 31, 2005, so if you're holding onto your replies, or haven't completed it yet, hurry and get those to me. I'll be sharing the responses next month with you all.

And, while it's still August, I have just two more August releases to share with you, both by Shirley Jump, who's been keeping busy this year already, and if you've been waiting for these new stories in her two series, you're in luck.

The Marine's Kiss (Silhouette Romance #1781) The Marine's Kiss (Silhouette Romance #1781) starts things off, with schoolteacher Jenny Wright forced to work for a week with the one man she loved years ago. Nate Dole's return to Mercy, Indiana was something else forced on him, but being in such close quarters with Jenny again makes him rethink his plans, his life. Jenny just wants to keep her job despite the principal who disapproves of her teaching methods, and to keep her heart whole, but with Nate back in town, her good intentions seem to fade away. This one is cute and sweet, just right for a quick, light read at the end of this very hot summer.

The Angel Craved Lobster The Angel Craved Lobster (Zebra) is next, with Meredith Shordon determined to change herself drastically while she's visiting a friend in Boston--no more small-town girl, but a wild woman. Too bad Travis Campbell can't be enticed to help her learn, but he's settled down, responsible. But perhaps he can still be tempted.... Filled with interesting characters and delicious-looking recipes, this one is fun, too, with Meredith doing her best to seduce Travis into a little flirtation, and Travis doing his darnedest to resist. You all know he can't right? I'm giving these four arrows each. They're just the right way to wind down the summer.

Until next time, happy reading and writing!
