One day, John Henry promises his co-workers to win against a steam machine. John Henry wins the race. Unfortunately, John Henry dies.
The tall tale legend entertains children with the story of a mythical man. Also, it tells them what they can accompolish with determination. John Henry keeps his word. Children should keep their word. This children's American folktale teaches an important life lesson.
