Children desire to postpone bedtime. They feel they will miss something important. Mercer Mayer writes Just Go To Bed to explain to your Little Critter that he needs his sleep.
Dad announces to Little Critter it is bedtime. Little Critter declares that he needs no sleep. All of a sudden, Little Critter finds numerous things to do. Little Critter has to feed his pets. He has to zoom to the moon. Oh, there is so much to do!
Mom and Dad patiently prepare Little Critter for bed. All the while, Little Critter protests that he needs no sleep. He doesn't even need to sleep in a bed. Once Little Critter is in bed, he is fast asleep. He does need sleep.
Read Mercer Mayer's Just Go to Bed and discuss the story with your child. Hopefully, your Little Critter will realize they need sleep. Thus, ending the bedtime tug-a-war. The picture book is great for toddlers and early elementary school students.
