Max Elliot Anderson is the author of reluctant readers books for children. As a child Max Elliot Anderson did not like to read. Not that he had trouble reading, he just did not like reading. As an adult, he writes Tweener Press adventure books to capture young people’s attention. His middle-reader books are for children between eight and twelve-years-old. Yet, older children and adults will enjoy the books, too.
Mr. Anderson’s tween books depict children in all types of situations. In the Big Rig Rustlers, Todd and Amanda visit their uncle’s working ranch and discover rustlers. Cousins find animal poachers in North Woods Poachers. Friends discover terrorists’ hideout in the Mountain Cabin Mystery. Bank robbers stalk four friends in a deep, dark cave in Secret of Abbott’s Cave. In all of Max Elliot’s adventure books suspense and adventure reign. Children find it hard to put the books down.
The reluctant readers teach children several things. First, they learn citizenship and the importance of doing the right thing. For example, Todd learns stealing is an awful practice. The newspaper carriers in the Newspaper Caper help stop a group of car thieves. Max Elliot Anderson ties the lessons learned with Bible lessons. The Tweener Press Adventure Series is great for Christian children, but all children can enjoy the books. Cave exploration, rescue team signals, wolf signals are just a few of the subjects readers learn.
Max Elliot Anderson’s mission is to help the parents and teachers of reluctant readers. Learning reading is fun is important for children. He uses talk to propel the action in the Tweener Press Adventures. Paragraphs of text do not slow the action. The stories are based on current events and activities.
