According to the flyleaf, Cummings has received "international acclaim" as a radio dream expert and has co-hosted a weekly cable show entitled "Soul Mechanics." According to her website, she is also skilled in psychic astrology readings. From what I've read in this book, I've concluded that she is a credible expert.
While the title grabs your attention, this book is not as much about sex as it is a practical, helpful guide on interpreting dreams and applying those insights to your life. No big surprises there - traditional methods of interpreting symbols are discussed. Carol just happens to use sexual dreams as her topic of analysis. For the benefit of the timid, Carol also gives ratings of "R" and "Hot" to the sample dreams and dream work exercises to alert the reader of the content.
I especially love the margin notes and charts throughout the book. Carol provides lists of foods that can help induce dreams, differences between men's and women's dreams and aromatherapy suggestions, to name a few. Her writing style is informal and easy to understand.
If you're in the small portion of the population that has dreams with sexual content on a regular basis, this book will be of particular interest to you. If you simply have a desire to learn how to interpret your dreams and have an open mind, you'll learn from and enjoy it as well. This book is a valuable addition to any dream resource library.
May all your dreams come true!
