The sheet options tab of the Page SetUp dialog box provides various options for controlling your printed page. The Page SetUp dialog box can be activated from the main menu and from the SetUp button in the Print Preview mode. However, when accessed from the Print Preview mode many of the options the Sheet tab cannot be accessed. It is best to set your sheet options from the File | Page SetUp menu command.
Print Area: Using this option you can establish a specific print area. By default, Excel will select a print area that will incorporate the entire area of the worksheet that contains data. You may want to segment different areas for printing. To define a print area, click inside the print area field and type the print range desired or use the collapse button found to the right of the print area field to collapse the dialog box, then select the range directly in your worksheet. Once the range has been selected, click on the collapse button again to restore the dialog box. Click on OK when finished.
Print Titles with this option you can designate row and column headers that you want to have repeated on all pages of your report. Designate the rows to be repeated by typing in the row numbers (i.e., 1:3) in the "Rows to repeat at top" field. Alternatively, you can use the collapse button found to the right of the "Rows to repeat at top" filed to select the desired rows.
Similarly, type in the columns to be repeated by typing in the desired columns letters in the "Columns to be repeated at left" field (i.e., A:B) to be repeated. Alternatively, you can use the collapse button found to the right of the "Columns to repeat at top" filed to select the desired rows.
