Apple Yogurt

Apple Yogurt

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cups chopped Yellow Delicious or Gala Apples - about 1/2" cubes
  • 2 cups plain yogurt - regular or low-fat
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • Grapenuts® or Granola Cereal (optional)

Preparation -
Pour the water in a saucepan. Add the apples and cook on low heat for about 7 to 8 minutes or until the apples are tender. Place the cooked apples in a strainer of small colander to drain off any remaining water. Reserve one cup of the cooked apples; set aside. Place the remaining cooked apples in a food processor or blender with the yogurt, vanilla, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Process on a low speed, just until blended. Stir in the reserved cooked apples. Top individual servings with Grapenuts® or Granola Cereal (oprional).
