There is one thing that seems common to all embroiderers - and that is a love of cats.

That being the case this beautiful book will delight embroiderers and their cat-loving friends.

This book brings to life cats of all shapes and sizes - from lions to Siamese and in a range of projects that will keep you cross-stitching for a long time.

The graphs are easy to read, but will need to be copied (1 copy for your own use is usually acceptable - provided that copy is then destroyed) to be used. Whilst they are designed primarily for cross stitch, the charts adapt beautifully to canvaswork and this is shown in several projects, where a cross stitch and a canvaswork version is done.

For those of you new to cross stitch, this book has a great introduction explaining the stitches used - and with some new stitches shown to enhance the projects you do. It also gives instructions on mitreing corners, mounting and finishing.

Each of the many projects is well set out, with all steps needed in making the finished piece explained clearly.

The designs are stitched using DMC floss, but I am looking forward to stitching one of my favorites in silk.

Clever use of stitches and colours bring the cats to life - from the tufts of hair in their ears, to whiskers and beautiful eyelashes.

The book ends with a delightful section of small designs to make gifts for kids - and for cats! (the stitched mouse toy will delight any cat!).

This beautiful book is a must for cat lovers - and for those who have purchased the previous books by these authors - Animals in Cross Stitch; Four Seasons in Cross Stitch and The Water's Edge in Cross Stitch.
