Narnia -The Chronicles of Narnia

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe has been loved by readers for more than fifty years. C. S. Lewis wrote the book for his niece. Unfortunately, she was a young woman when he finished the book.

The story is about the adventures of the Pevensie siblings. There are four of them: Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter. They are living with an old professor in the English countryside. Their parents removed them from the dangers of the London bombings during World War II.

Their professor is a kind soul who lives in a very large house. There are rooms upon rooms. The children ramble about the house. It is the perfect place for children with fertile imaginations.

One day, Lucy hides in an old wardrobe. The wardrobe contains old fur coats. Moth balls litter the wardrobe’s floor and scent the air. It’s the standard wardrobe found in any bedroom in England or is it? Lucy makes a discovery, and there is no back to the wardrobe.

Lucy stumbles out of the wardrobe into a white, frozen world. Snow is everywhere. There are swirls of the white powder. Cold penetrate the bones.

This is Narnia! It is the White Witch’s domain. Lucy continues into Narnia and stops under a lamp post. There she meets Mr. Tumnus.

Who is Aslan? What happens next? Readers of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe know the answers. Join the worldwide group who loves the book and find out what happens.
