A great organization I recently came across is seeking to provide people in need with essential vitamins, especially children.

Vitamin Angel provides health education and nutritional supplements to individuals, families, and communities that are medically underserved or at risk of a specific condition or illness.
Nearly one quarter of all humanity-1.4 billion people-live in absolute poverty with incomes of less than a dollar a day. Because of this extreme poverty, about one person in seven-857 million people total-is chronically undernourished."
