To say that cop turned bounty hunter Milo and reporter Nicole are merely ex husband and wife is an understatement. They absolutely hate each other! So when Nicole jumps bail to follow a lead on a story, Milo gladly accepts the job to bring her in to jail. Once he gets her, not only do they have to deal with the criminals out to keep Nicole quiet about her story and the people out to get Milo for a gambling loan he hasn’t repaid, they also have to deal with each other. Here are a few mistakes to look for when you’re watching the romantic comedy, “The Bounty Hunter”.
∙ In the very first shot (the same one that’s shown a little later), we see an overhead view of Milo’s blue Delta 88 car. It’s traveling in the far left lane on the road. It quickly cuts to a front view of Milo in the car. If you look at the vehicles, on the left and right of the car, you can tell he’s actually driving in the middle (shown in the next outside view).
∙ When Nicole (from the bathroom) first calls Jimmy at the bar, the wide view shows the other bartender walking up directly behind him. It cuts to a close-up shot and the other guy is still tending bar.
∙ The chain on the handcuffs changes lengths during the movie. It’s shorter when Milo has Nicole handcuffed in the car but the chain is longer when they’re at the hotel and at Cupid’s Cabin.
∙ We see Milo unlock Nicole’s hand from the handcuffs in front of the casino. The close-up view shows the other half of the cuffs are still hooked to the interior handle of the car. But in the next shot, Milo has the cuffs and puts them in his pocket.
∙ When Milo hops into bed at Cupid’s Cabin, the overhead shot shows his left arm crossed over his right arm (the one in the red and white striped sleeve). When Nicole yells “that’s it!” and gets out of bed, it switches to a side view and Milo actually pulls his right arm from under the covers.
∙ Near the end, when Nicole is at the bar with Irene’s men, Milo is talking on the phone with her. In the view of Milo (with Nicole and the guys in the background), after he tells her to “just do it”, we see Nicole take the phone away from her ear. It then cuts to a close-up of Nicole and Irene’s guys and she takes the phone away again.
