The Loss of an Icon

The tragic and sudden death of Michael Jackson signified the end of an era, and the loss of a musical genius. Not many would disagree that Michael Jackson changed not only the way we looked at music and video but in many ways, he changed the world. In honor of the memory of Michael Jackson there are a number of upcoming books about this musical icon and consummate humanitarian.

The life and times of Michael Jackson are currently being chronicled in “The Life and Times of Michael Jackson”, “Michael Jackson: The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story”, and a re-publication of Michael Jackson’s autobiography “Moonwalk”.

“The Life and Times of Michael Jackson” is a sixty page commemorative historical newspaper that chronicles Michael’s Jackson’s career. The retrospective takes the reader back to Michael Jackson’s Motown days through his phenomenal success as a solo artist. It chronicles his success with Thriller, his unique videos and amazing live shows.

“Michael Jackson: The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story” by J. Randy Taraborelli. is an extensively researched book on the complicated genius that was Michael Jackson. The book is a compilation of more than thirty years of research and interviews with the Jackson family inner circle. Taraborrelli tries to write about the real story of Michael Jackson and digs through the tabloid rumors. Taraborelli traces Michael Jackson’s life from his life as a child star, his changing appearance, his marriage, passions and his addictions. The author tries his best to provide and objective and revealing look into the life of Michael Jackson.

Finally there is the re-publication of “Moonwalk” due out this October. In 1988 Michael Jackson opened up about his life in this candid biography.

Moonwalk is an intimate and moving personal about of Michael Jackson’s private and public life. Written in his own words, Michael Jackson spoke about a hard yet happy childhood. He also talks about the beginnings of his musical career when he and his brothers played amateur shows and the strip bars of Chicago, that is until the beginning of their phenomenal career with Motown. Michael Jackson also spoke about traveling all over with his brothers, his relationship with his family and his work ethic and drive that turned him into a cultural icon.

Whether you are a Michael Jackson fan or not there is absolutely no denying the everlasting impact he had on the not only the music industry, but on all of his fans across the globe. There will never be another Michael Jackson and the imprint he left on everyone makes these works worth looking into.
