In Wicca, there is no one right way to practice, worship or believe. The witch is free to choose what works best for them. It promises empowerment and the ability to control one’s own destiny. Power may be derived from stones, crystals, colors, herbs, symbols and figurines, to name a few “power” sources. This self-styled empowerment is incredibly enticing. Wicca seems to be non-threatening and members subscribe to ‘do no harm’, so why should we protect our teens from it?
It appears to me that our children are being pulled away from the Truth and led down a path of lies. Teens are giving up the incredible resurrection power that is available through Jesus Christ in trade for the limited power coming from within themselves and from inanimate objects.
Russo covers everything to help you become an informed parent - the warning signs, the basics of witchcraft and its appeal, the language used, the gods, goddesses and symbols. He sites Biblical guidelines and warning against such behavior and goes on to help the parent talk to their teen about Wicca and to help guide them to the Truth of the Christian belief and the salvation message while letting the teen make their own decision. I found it very enlightening and useful. Protecting Your Teen From Today’s Witchcraft is a book that
every parent should read and then read it again, discussing it with their teenagers.
