Unwrapping Gifts of the Spirit

We can all experience clairvoyance from time to time throughout our daily routine. A distant voice rousing us from sleep, spontaneous knowledge of headline news, dreams coming to pass, or thinking of a particular person moments before they phone, just to name a few. When we find ourselves acknowledging these events more and more in our lives there may be an indication to take a closer look at the role our abilities play.

Clairvoyance and other sixth sense abilities can often start out random and uncertain becoming more regular as time goes on. I can remember my own first few encounters with clairvoyance when I was quite young living with my parents. They involved mostly spirit personalities and sleep walking. I remember for the most part feeling frustrated and awkward in trying to share these experiences recalling what information I could in hoping an explanation from someone else would set my mind at ease.

Being so young I endured several religious lectures from my parents followed by trips to the doctor for what had been deemed at the time, a sleeping disorder. Into my teens and later as an adult I became more able to view these experiences non-judgmentally though they continued to increase both in intensity and confusion.

When we first start to experience and even explore outside of our basic five senses we can become intrigued, overwhelmed or both depending on the circumstance. We may rack our brains in the beginning trying to figure out whether or not we’re sane followed by mustered courage in sharing these experiences to be lead finally as in most things the insight as to what do we want to do with these experiences?

Some people right away may chose to “turn off” the sensations or enhance them through drugs and/or alcohol abuse. However there is no closure and more often than not what can be experienced can be worse than the initial effect. Others may run full throttle with their abilities creating more drama in their lives than they can emotionally withstand viewing their gift as a curse. Still there is the choice to face both the good and bad effects of these abilities, embrace them and go on, helping others either in teaching or healing services as a result.

When we calmly approach these segments of our existence, really there is very little difference in comparison to anything else in our lives that is accepted and applied on a daily basis. We can find similar polarities in the positive and negative effects of the material world just as we can our spiritual. Because it is spiritual does not ensure it will be filled with perfection and good. There still will be ego, ulterior motives, unresolved conflicts and mistakes.

Whether we chose to noticed our gifts early on or have just now found an interest, the time it takes for these abilities to unfold in certainty leaves for the experience as with all things lessons within the events themselves. Through this process not only do we become reacquainted with this lost but familiar part of ourselves but are given the tools of greater understanding and confidence to apply more effectively these precious and spiritual gifts in everyday life.

Blessings these holidays and in spirit
