Miss Clarkson's Classmate (Signet) by Sharon Sobel has Miss Emily Clarkson heading off, away from London to butt heads with Daniel Lennox, or rather, to teach the children of his mill. While still encumbered by the rules of the time, being set outside the city eases constraints on this one a tad, if you, like me, are not a fan of such things.
Lady Emma's Dilemma (Signet) by Rhonda Woodward is next, with Lady Emmaline Fallbrook returning to London only to meet up with Jack Devruex, the man who broke her heart years ago. Each believes they were wronged by the other, but it's not too tangled a mess that they can't reach a happy ending, with some rather humorous moments along they way.
The Haviland Touch (Jove) is another reprint of an older Kay Hooper tale, this one featuring Drew Haviland and former love Spencer Wyatt crossing paths again years later. Drew is unkind to Spencer from the start, which certainly doesn't endear him to me, no matter how old the book may be (fourteen years, in case you're wondering). I made me wonder what we saw in romance back then, but then I pulled out some of my other, older romances, where the heroes didn't behave so abominably. I'll keep them, but pass on this one.
