Ring-O Flamingo

Ring-O Flamingo is a game of skill and luck. Players who are good at paper football, ring toss, and other skill-type games should be successful at this game. All players play at the same time. The object of the game is to land as many rings as you can around the flamingos. The person with the most points wins the game.

The playing field consists of plastic flamingos and alligators. Once the board is set up, each player takes a life boat and 12 lifesavers in the matching color of the boat. When the game starts, place your lifesaver into the slot in the front of the life boat. Then take your finger and bend back the paper lifesaver. Let it go and watch it fly - with the hopes that it will land around a flamingo and not an alligator. It takes a little practice to master how to fling the lifesavers. Maybe play a couple of warm-up rounds to get everyone acquainted with how to use the life boat. The game ends when everyone has launched their twelve lifesavers.

Now it's time to count up the points. The first lifesaver on a flamingo is worth two points while any others are worth one. Two points will be subtracted from your score for each ring around an alligator - so avoid those if at all possible. The player with the most points wins the game. In case of a tie, the player who ringed more flamingos wins the game.

Ring-O Flamingo is for 2-4 players and is for ages 6 and up. Setup takes about five minutes and game play takes about 10-15 minutes. It is a fun, fast, action-packed game that is good for younger players. Even though it takes some coordination go launch the lifesavers, it can be quickly learned.

Gamewright periodically will send games for review consideration. I received Ring-O Flamingo from Gamewright. This review is my honest opinion about the game.
