Are you confused? For effective weight loss, what you need to eat is a healthy sugar-free (low glycemic), whole food (unrefined), moderate in fat (low in bad fats), low calorie diet.
Eating low fat used to mean avoiding things like potato chips and ice cream. However, grocery stores are now stacked with “fat-free” and “low-fat” substitutes for many items once considered high in fat. But don’t get fooled!
“Fat-free” and “low-fat” doesn’t necessarily mean low calorie. Many of these alternatives are loaded with sugars. Some even have more calories than the full-fat version. So, when cutting back on calories always be sure to read labels.
