Feed the Kitty Review

Ages 4 and up

Players 2-5

Playing Time 15 minutes

Feed the Kitty comes with a kitty food bowl, 20 wooden mice, and 2 custom dice. The object of the game is to be the last person with mice. The roll of the dice will determine your mice's fate. There are four possibilities: put one mouse in Kitty's bowl, pass one mouse to the player on your left, take a mouse from Kitty's bowl, or do nothing. You roll two dice, so you will have two actions. When you run out of mice, you can't roll the dice. Don't fret just yet. Wait until the player to your right rolls to see if they have to pass a mouse to you. If they do not, then you are out of the game. The game continues until only one person has at least one mouse.

Feed the Kitty is a great example of a game that can be played in relatively short amount of time. Playing Feed the Kitty will not take very long, so children should keep interested in the game. Feed the Kitty takes up little space to play, so a game can easily be played on a coffee table or even a TV tray. Kids are always wanting their parents to play games. Games like Feed the Kitty are easy and fast to play. Parents can now play games with their kids in a matter of minutes. Feed the Kitty can be a fun way to entertain bored children. Each player's turn is short, so there is not waiting minutes for your turn. Since the roll of the dice can affect other players like passing a mouse to the left, it's important to pay attention to each persons turn.

While the recommended age for Feed the Kitty is four, younger kids might do well playing the game. The mice are small and a possible choking hazard, so be careful with toddlers around. There's just something fun about rolling dice that kids like. Feed the Kitty gives them ample opportunity to roll the dice. Since pictures on the dice indicate the action to take, young children will know what their dice roll means.

Feed the Kitty is fun and enjoyable. The game can be played in as little as 15 minutes, making it a great choice to play when the kids want to play a game, but the family is short on time. Easy rules and fast playing time make Feed the Kitty a great choice for a family with young children.

I received a sample copy of Feed the Kitty for review purposes from Gamewright. The opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine.
