Raggedy Ann, Madeline and Similar Fabric Dolls - Calico Dresses

This dress uses the basic dress pattern I designed for 15 to 18 inch cloth or fabric dolls, such as Raggedy Ann and Madeline. For clothes to fit 18inch American Girl and similar dolls click here.

In the calico dress in this photo the collar has an interesting fold.

Floppy is being playful in the photo and keeps all entertained in the cyber doll house!

To make, first lay the collar out flat, then fold the collar tip up toward the neckline and again back toward the hemline.

Tack in place with at 2 to 4 lengths of 6-strand embroidery thread.

From the front of the collar take one stitch through all layers and bring needle back out to front.

Tie in 2 knots and let the threads hang down or tie in a bow. Below is a collar close up photo.

This dress gives you a model of what a finished dress will look like when the bodice, sleeves and skirt are all the same material.
