Caramel Snack Mix

3 cups apple cinnamon toasted oat cereal
3 cups rice square cereal
3 cups Kix style cereal
2 cups pretzel sticks
2 cups mixed nuts
6 tablespoons butter or stick margarine
6 tablespoons caramel ice cream topping

Combine oat cereal, rice cereal, kix, pretzels and nuts in a large bowl. In a large microwave proof bowl, combine butter and caramel topping. Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes. Whisk to combine. Return to microwave, and microwave additional 2 minutes on HIGH. Pour immediately over cereal mixture and toss to coat. Pour mix onto waxed paper and let cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

If desired: you can mix in: dried fruit, chocolate candies, etc.
