In the book of possibilities Georgia has pictures of meals she would like to try, places she would like to go, famous people she would like to meet; plus a cut picture of a bride and groom with her face and Sean's face pasted on. One day her world comes crashing down when she is diagnosed with a fatal disease leaving her with only three weeks to live. Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for herself Georgia quits her job, cashes in some bonds and decides to take a trip to Europe staying in the hotel in her book of possibilities. Georgia starts living her life. During this trip she finds herself, adventure, new friends, love, and something even more important. The biggest lesson Georgia learns is to live life as if it were her last day.
If you are in the mood to have a girls or family movie night I recommend this movie. It is an amusing and yes kind of a cheesy movie to share with your friends and family. The story line was a little dull. It started out slow at first, but once she found out she might be dying the pace picked up dramatically. Everyone in the cast did a great job. The set and background settings were breathtaking even though you can tell come computer work was involved. I think the most spectacular scenes are dealing with or around the hotel. The disappointment of the movie is it was not as funny as I was lead to believe it would be. I really thought there would be more comedy. However the movie does get its point across, how we all should “Live Life As If It Were Your Last Day!”
Caution; make sure you eat before or during the movie! For cooking and eating happen to be recurring themes through out the whole movie and it will leave you hungry at the end.
