Macau Grand Prix

Every November, Macau residents and tourists enjoy the Macau Grand Prix. It is the only mixed Grand Prix event in the world. “Mixed” means both cars and motorcycles race together in the street.

There are more than fifteen races during the Macau Grand Prix weekend. The Macau Motor Cycle Grand Prix is one of them. The field has about 40 invited international riders.

The Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix is another race. This is a fierce street battle of champions from fifteen nations racing against each other. The drivers are the champions of all the Formula 3 series run around the world during the season. The winner of the Macau Grand Prix is acknowledged as the Year’s Best Formula 3 Driver in the world.

The Guia Circuit is more than 3.8 miles in length Barriers mark off the course. The course is a series of straightaways and sharp turns.

Tickets are on sale for seats in the three viewing stands. Practice sessions begin on the Monday prior to the race weekend. The Reservoir area is free during practice sessions.

Racing is not the only thing on schedule during the Macau Grand Prix weekend. There are many motor-sport themed food and cultural happenings. Plan to view the races over the weekend. Just follow the roar of the powerful engines.

Many airlines no longer furnish passengers with pillows and blankets. Invest in this pillow. It comes with its own pouch. Do not arrive at your travel destination with jet lag.
