Wreck The Nation

Wreck the Nation is a hilariously funny board game that plays somewhat like Monopoly in reverse! The game is themed as something of a mockery of President George W. Bush and his never-ending mission to drive the national debt skyward.

Each player acts as a politician and is given a portion of the nation's budget to spend. Their goal is to spend it as quickly as possible, by buying up wildly expensive media outlets, spending money on absurd policies and so on. Players must do many of these things depending on which cards they draw.

Some of these cards are peppered with "brilliant" quotes from George W. Bush, such as "If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I am the dictator", "Terrorists never stop thinking of ways to harm our country - and neither do we", "I know how hard it is to put food on your family" and so on.

It seems logical that many die-hard Republicans and big-time George W. Bush supporters might not find the humor in this game, but, in fact, one of the two inventors of the game (both of whom are women, by the way) is a Republican herself, who simply finds a great deal of humor in the president's verbal problems and illogical policies.
