Buzzword Junior

Buzzword Junior is a fun team game for more than four players. It is the junior version of Buzzword and is from Patch games. Buzzword Junior is for players 7 years and older.

Teams take turns reading clues that the other team tries to solve. Clues are on a card that contains 5 clues. Clues are printed on the front and back side. It is suggested that you play through all of one side of the card before playing with the other side of clues.

The answer to the clue will have the buzzword in it. Teams will know the buzzword. Rounds are timed and for each answer a team gets right, they score a point. The first team to 30 points wins the game. You can make the game easier by lowering the number of points it takes to win the game.

Buzzword Junior makes a great party game because a lot of people can play at once. It also works well for groups since there isn't a lot of playing pieces. There's the timer, clues, and a reusable scorecard.

An example of a clue would be 'bad and scary dream.' The buzzword is Night, so your answer will have to include the word night. The correct answer is 'nightmare.' Your team would score one point. Another example using the buzzword Night is the clue, 'not last night and not tomorrow night.' The correct answer it 'tonight.' It answers the riddle and contains the buzzword Night.

The answer may seem easy but some clues are challenging. You could even make your own cards to help with spelling words for school. Use it in Sunday School with the day's lesson. This game by itself can be entertaining but adding personalized clues can make it educational, too.

Buzzword Junior can be a great party game by playing straight from the box or by making your own clues. Pull this one out at the next birthday party or sleepover for a game that's a party winner.
