Jack’s Special Medium Salsa, from the Garden Fresh Gourmet. is a must-have for anybody who loves to cook, but doesn’t want to spend all of their free time in the kitchen. The 48 ounce jar says that it is America’s Award-Winning Salsa, and I can certainly believe that. What’s so great about Jack’s Special Medium Salsa?
There are no preservatives in Jack’s Special Medium Salsa. This salsa has ingredients that you will recognize. Tomatoes, onions, green peppers, jalapenos, cilantro, vinegar, lime juice, salt, dehydrated celery, cane sugar, fresh garlic, spices, and citric acid are blended into a chunky salsa. In spite of the dehydrated celery, this salsa does taste fresh. The blend of vegetables is appealing. Jack’s Special Medium Salsa has enough heat to be interesting. However, it is not so hot that a child would be uncomfortable eating the salsa. This tasty salsa will satisfy the pickiest eater.
Since there are no preservatives in this salsa, you won’t get that funny after-taste that sometimes comes with commercial salsas. You want to make sure that you can use all of the salsa. The Jack’s Special Medium Salsa does have tips for maintaining the freshness of the salsa. First, it needs to be refrigerated. Keep it very cold! Pull it out of the fridge briefly to pour it into a serving bowl. Don’t dip utensils into the jar. That could lead to contamination. Never pour unused salsa back into the jar. There is a “use-by” date on the jar. Honor it! Also, after you open the jar, you may use the salsa for 14 days or by the use-by date.
