Often because we are so busy, we may take sleep for granted. We may even introduce our bodies to stimulants –coffee, [diet] soda, or energy drinks, to name a few—in order to keep going. However, the truth is sleep is needed. It is restorative. Enough restful sleep allows an Ethnic Beauty to wake up feeling refreshed, not groggy or grumpy. It can also aid one to better perform daily tasks. Sleep just happens to be one of the best beauty treatments, touted often by those we deem beautiful, and it is free!
If one does not get enough sleep, sure she can make things happen. Yet over time, she will not feel as alert at certain points in the day. This can lead to diminished production, perhaps even on one's job or in her career. Getting the required amount of beauty sleep, when possible, can often deter carelessness, and accidents. Sleep can also enhance one's beauty by diminishing the capacity for irritability. One may notice, after resting well, that she can better get along with co-workers, colleagues, family members, and even friends.
I was reading a book written by a doctor who said that while facing life's demands, the body perceives the lack of sleep as 'stress.' Who knew? Therefore, sufficient sleep is necessary for health, one's quality of daily life, as well as to enhance beauty. Did you know that when an Ethnic Beauty is truly tired, the whites of her eyes may become red, or the lids puffy? Sometimes under-eye circles can appear or become more visible. A beauty's skin may appear dull, and lackluster. Although one may use makeup, there may be times that sleep deprivation simply will not be hid.
Now I understand that one has to help the kids with homework, after working a ten to twelve hour day. That same beauty may also have to put on dinner, do laundry, and work on the project that has a looming deadline. She may then need to console an ailing friend, or acknowledge the complaints of a senior family member. Then there may be online bill paying, and email checks. Oh, the kids clothes may also need to be laid out, along with her own. The sick from the dog will need to be cleaned from the carpet, and the significant other will need their moment. The list can indeed be endless, from one day to the next. Or worse, one may suffer from insomnia or have breathing difficulties during sleep which is known as sleep apnea. There may be restless leg syndrome or nightmares, heartburn or even depression. These are things that need to be addressed, because your needs, magic woman, also deserve notice.
In noticing and addressing your needs, why not make beauty sleep more of a priority--for you? One way to do so is to attempt a routine. To create and maintain a regular sleep pattern. Doctors recommend waking and going to bed nearly at the same time, always. Avoid caffeinated drinks or alcohol most evenings. If you're yet hungry just before sleep, why not have a light snack? Not chocolate though, which contains caffeine. Relax, maybe with a book, or take a warm shower or bath. Sure your show is on; TiVo or record it for later viewing. Exercise, at least two to three hours prior can deepen sleep. Then when someone notices you're looking well and have more spring in your step, you can simply smile, and keep up the good work...Sleeping Beauty.
