People ask me all the time how to get great rates on Internet and telephone and dish or cable fees. We live in a mountainous area, and our one big financial extravagance is cable or satellite dish for television because other wise we have next to no reception. Now if I had my way we'd just drop it, rent films or get them from the library, and look at news online. But then I'm Ms. Cheap.
But recently I noticed you can save about $20 to $30 dollars a month on your monthly bills. You can bundle your basic Phone, DSL, and a Satellite Dish all in your land line phone bill. They offer a combined package price they call a "Bundle" which should be lower than having each separate. This can be a savings as much as $360 dollars a year. Certainly you can find better use for your money than spending it on bills. Since I use DSL for my part-time job, and my husband and son would be unhappy without regular TV I checked into this.
Example:
I found our local phone company offered just such a bundle. I got basic phone and long distance (no frills), DSL, and Satellite Dish for $27 a month less than I was paying apart from one another. This is a savings of $324 dollars a year. And it comes all in one monthly statement on my phone bill!
If you use these features, I suggest strongly checking with your local land line phone carrier to see what "Bundles" They might offer you.
