Passion (Aphrodisia) by P. F. Kozak is up first. Passion, or Pash for short, has a vivid fantasy life, and when she makes up her mind to take riding lessons, her instructor Ivan seems to have walked straight out of one of her steamiest dreams. There's plenty of sex here, but little romance. Honestly, to me, this reads like any British erotica you can pick up in the smut section of your local bookstore, nothing more, nothing less. If you want lots of sex but not nearly as much emotion, this might be just the ticket. If you want a real love story, you'll want to take a pass.
Making Him Want It (Aphrodisia) by Renee Luke has agent Jamal James finding that his fantasy woman, client Kat Mason, is the woman he just picked up in a nightclub and ended up having a quickie with. At least this one actually had some romance in it, thus earning that 'erotic romance' imprint on its spine. Still, whether it was the story itself or simply the storytelling style, this one wasn't my cup of tea either, unfortunately. It hasn't been a good reading week for me. I keep hoping, though.
Until next time, happy reading!
