This is a Spanish spelling rule: If you have to write / type a word, and before a "p" or "b" there is a nasal sound (n, m), well, you can ask yourself: Which one should I write here, "m" or "n"? Other examples: |
-mb | -mp |
gamba | amperio |
ambiente | imperio |
ambos | impropio |
sombrero | imprudente |
So, remember: Before 'p' or 'b' NEVER write "n", BUT "m".
