Italian Style 20g Meal Day

There are many ways to eat only 20g in a day and to have quite a happy, healthy day. Here is one suggestion of combinations, with an Italian theme.

Remember that you can *easily* substitute out items, if you don't like a particular thing. This site is full of recipes and carb count lists to help you know exactly what carbs are in various dishes.

Make sure to drink lots of water each day, and to eat healthy snacks if you feel the munchies come on. You never want to let your body feel like it's starving - if it does, it'll start to conserve energy - i.e. not burn fat!

Breakfast -
Omelette with mushrooms - 1.4g
camomile tea - 0g

Lunch -
cream of celery soup - 0.8g
eggplant Italian - 2g
flavored water - 0g

Snack -
mozarella balls in oil - 2g

Dinner -
Shrimp Scampi - 2.2g
broccoli - 1.7g

Dessert -
homemade french vanilla ice cream - 3g

Total carbs for the day - 13.1g

See - if you are still hungry, you still have 7g left over if you want to add in more snacks! Really, though, you'll find that when you eat low carb, your appetite naturally lowers, because you're not jolting your blood sugar levels.
