Renard was asked by Lennon to stay for the entire eight-day bed-in. She stayed and was there during the recording of Give Peace a Chance, on which she played a tambourine. There is no word on where her parents were during this time and whether they consented to the teen hanging out in a hotel room full of hippies for eight days.
Almost 40 years later the whole experience will net her a huge payday. The lyric sheet will be auctioned off by Christie's on July 10. The sheet is expected to bring in as much as $600,000. She is also selling a few dozen pictures that she took during the bed-in. There are a few other Beatle-related items being sold during the same auction such as a drum skin that was pictured on the cover of Sgt. Pepper's.
Forgotten how good Give Peace a Chance
There is also a documentary about the Bed-In for Peace
