Ezines, Ten Money Making Ideas

Suppose I told you that I could show you how to make money off your ezine the quick and easy way, what would you think? I hope you would be suspicious about the content of the message you’re about to read.

There are no quick and easy ways to make money and maintain the integrity of your company. Growing your business takes time, determination, consistency, witty ideas, and commitment. You will experiment with several methods until you find a fit that meets the needs and interest of the readers. Sometimes it will require repositioning topics or changing colors. Other times it will only be a matter of adjusting the way you present your products or services.

Whatever the choice, making money from you ezine will take time, effort and willingness to grow your business on a firm foundation of quality customer service. EVERTHING YOU DO should be focused on pleasing those who visit your site. If you maintain the attitude of “giving” the best information, products, or services, the result will be “receiving” increased traffic leading to financial gain. There are at least ten ideas that will increase the potential to make money from your ezine.

Invest timeconnecting to Search Engines and Directories for increased customer traffic. This is a time consuming task but worth the effort. Most search engines can be done manually (saving money). It will require that you deliberately schedule time in your day—once or twice a week until complete—to ensure you have posted to as many locations as possible. Results are not instant even if you pay to have it done. When you begin to get bored, remind yourself of the new customer potential. That should boost your spirits.

Investigate and identify products that will be compatible to the information presented on your site. Offer these as “helpful” products for your visitors to consider and have them available for purchase through your site.

Explore the website and consider exchanging links with others that compliment, not compete, with you. You can type keyword: link exchange for access to sites interested in exchanging links. Be sure to check their ranking so that the exchange can beneficial to you both.

Spend quality time promoting your products and services. You may offer a wealth of helpful content information, but don’t neglect the product or service that prompted the creation of the ezine site in the first place.

Record what other people think about your product or services. Post testimonials from satisfied customers as part of the “self promotion” campaign.

Sell Banner Ads. Be selective so that the advertisement enhances the professional quality of your site. You don’t want to post anything that may be annoying to the customer.

Consider Google Ad Words program (Note: this is a cost item). Investigate thoroughly. It may consume more time than you are willing to give, but the effort may be worth it.

Offer a free product or helpful "how to" review or report, related to your subject or field.

Make a “limited time” offer for one of your products or provide a discount for a paid service. This is a “carrot’ that will keep people checking back for the next special offer.

Initiate a contest, providing a prize to the first three to five respondents who can provide the correct answer or has the most creative response. You could run the contest quarterly, with a special winner’s box announcement at the end.

These are only a few suggestions. Take time to explore and experiment so that you can determine which works best for you.
