Everyday, Annie's Attic provides a free pattern of the day. Formerly, they focused solely on crochet patterns, but now they are adding other types of needlework crafts and projects to the free pattern list. They change the patterns at midnight, Eastern Time.
Another excellent place for great patterns is Lion Yarn. Lion brand yarn used to provide all of their patterns online without a membership, but now you must sign up for a free membership to access the patterns. They provide crochet as well as knitting patterns and have an extensive listing to choose from. They provided the pattern for the Martha Stewart crochet poncho that she wore when she was released from prison.
JoAnns Fabric also has a number of different patterns on their official website. There is a search engine that you can use to help retrieve free patterns easily. All of the patterns are then easy to print from your computer.
Some of the other leading yarn retailers that provide free patterns include Patons, Caron, Moda Dea, Leisure Arts, Coats and Clark, Bernat, DMC, and New York Yarns. If you browse your local craft department or yarn store, you'll find these free patterns regularly supplied by your choice of yarn. The same patterns are often stored online at the yarn supplier's website along with many other free crochet and knitting patterns. If you are new to crocheting, then you will enjoy using these patterns, as they will help develop your skills while allowing you to create beautiful crochet items and garments. Crocheting is not just a popular hobby, but it is also an excellent way to earn additional income.
