|When I was a child, my parents had an 8mm movie camera which they brought with them on our family vacations and pulled out of the closet at prom time. It did not record sound or have any special effects. All you got was a silent movie and to watch it you had to drag out that clumsy projector and movie screen. |
Well, today's family lives in a different world and DVD video is one of the best by-products of this high-tech age. AdobeR PremiereR Elements 2 is the perfect software package for the amateur to intermediate level filmmaker who wants to save cherished moments of family and friends and add to their DVD's that professional presentation. Premiere Elements is a simple-to-use software with a user-friendly workspace and powerful video editing features. The context sensitive How To panel, tutorials and Product Help file quickly get you up and running the automated, drag and drop features.
Your first step is to import your video clip into Premiere Elements and the Media Downloader makes this easy. You can import files from most digital video devices and preview each clip in the Monitor panel. Of course, to get that professional look, you will want to trim and combine several video clips together to make your movie. This is done quite easily by dragging your mouse. The software will automatically remove the unwanted part and reconnect the remaining. Once you get the movie edited to your liking, it is time to add some of the many pre-installed filters, transitions and special effects. Premiere Elements comes packed with a great number of customizable, Hollywood-style special effects that you can add to your clips. If you are familiar with any of the Adobe software, you will recognize some of these more popular special effects.
