Planning a Child Free Vacation Abroad

Although studies have shown the child free have more money to spend on spectacular vacations, the travel industry almost exclusively caters to families. As a result, it can be difficult to find places to go where you won’t be met with noisy children in the pool or a temper tantrum at the hotel’s five-star restaurant.

The travel industry also forgets even people who DO have children don’t always want to vacation with them. Parents want to take a child free vacation once in awhile too!

One writer in the UK has identified some world-wide hotels and resorts that cater to adults only. Click on the link “Finding a Child Free Holiday” to read Sophie Butler’s article in the Telegraph.

P&O Cruises have two child-free ships in their fleet, the Arcadia and the Artemis, catering to all of the adult activities you expect to enjoy on a luxury vacation! The ships set sail from England. Click on the “P&O Cruise Finder” link to explore your options.

In the US, my advice is always to travel on the shoulder season, avoid the kinds of places families like to go, and opt for the more expensive options. Your travel agent might have a few insider hints about where you can go to avoid the kids. For more ideas, click on the link “Child Free Travel Tips.”
