I have a lot of toiletries that never get used up - hardly eco-friendly of me. I am trying to actively use up my many soaps, lotions and potions. And I want to buy only toiletries that I absolutely love, from companies I believe in.
So for me to be on my second bottle of Zia Sea Tonic Rosewater and Aloe Toner is pretty impressive. I love this product. I enjoy gentle toners in general (not the astringent kinds made for zits; the kind you spritz on to refresh the skin).
Zia Sea Tonic and Rosewater Toner comes in a small pump bottle (2 fl.oz), found on the shelves of Whole Foods Markets/Wild Oats type markets, next to the Burt's Bees body products.
The bottle itself is recyclable and Zia proclaims the products are cruelty-free. The ingredients list includes deionized water, water of rose, bladderwrack extract (seaweed), aloe vera gel, glycerin, ylang ylang and cypress essential oils and citric acid.
I love the way my face feels when I spritz my face with a pump or two; I also spray my neck. I keep the bottle in my purse for refreshment anytime - I'd be lost without this stuff. The product is great for after-sun dryness or windy days, makes me feel clean after traveling or breathing recycled air (ie - in planes or air conditioned buildings), and wakes me up while standing in lines or sitting through meetings.
For facial washing I use my Eu de Roma Toner by Lush, which I associate more for part of my cleansing routine (cleanse, scrub, tone, moisturize). However, if you like the Zia Toner for home use, the larger bottle (6 oz) is also available. The smaller size is a very good value (current price is $3.81 at Amazon) and they make nice little bridemaid's gifts/stocking stuffers/party favors/travel gifts for someone leaving on a trip.
Both sizes are available at Amazon if you wish to read more about the products:
