First Paragraph: Tell your readers what you are going to teach them or tell them in your article. This first paragraph summarizes the major points that will be forthcoming in the body of your article. Your readers can quickly determine if the information in your article is indeed what they are looking for.

This also gives you a way to capsulize your content. This helps you to be ready to write the body of your article, which is where your content will be.

Body of Article: The body of your article is where you write your content. Whether you are teaching or simply writing about a topic you love, you will want all of your article content here in the body.

In the body, you should vary your sentence length. Sentences that are varied in length allow your reader to understand and remember your content better. In addition, keep your paragraphs short. Two to four sentences per paragraph. This adds to the readability of your article.

Last Paragraph: The last paragraph is where you summarize the content you presented in the body of your article. It is important to remember to not bring in new information. Simply summarize your content as succinctly as you can.

This summary is best when kept to one short paragraph. If your content is difficult to summarize in that short space, you can lengthen it to two paragraphs. But by no means should it ever be longer than that.
