How to Organize Your Article Content

To help your readers find what they need quickly, it is essential to organize the content in your articles. This not only allows your readers to understand your content better, it also allows you to write more articles in the same period of time.

The article writing template below is the best I've seen. In using different types of article organization over the years, I've come to rely on this template the most. It helps me to quickly see what information I should present and when, while allowing me full creativity at the same time.

Use this article writing template to help you to organize your content and present it in a friendly, cohesive way.

Article Writing Template:

First Paragraph: Tell your readers what you are going to teach them or tell them in your article. This first paragraph summarizes the major points that will be forthcoming in the body of your article. Your readers can quickly determine if the information in your article is indeed what they are looking for.

This also gives you a way to capsulize your content. This helps you to be ready to write the body of your article, which is where your content will be.

Body of Article: The body of your article is where you write your content. Whether you are teaching or simply writing about a topic you love, you will want all of your article content here in the body.

In the body, you should vary your sentence length. Sentences that are varied in length allow your reader to understand and remember your content better. In addition, keep your paragraphs short. Two to four sentences per paragraph. This adds to the readability of your article.

Last Paragraph: The last paragraph is where you summarize the content you presented in the body of your article. It is important to remember to not bring in new information. Simply summarize your content as succinctly as you can.

This summary is best when kept to one short paragraph. If your content is difficult to summarize in that short space, you can lengthen it to two paragraphs. But by no means should it ever be longer than that.

By using this simple template, you will find your articles will be accepted faster by magazines. If you are writing online articles, you will find your readership increasing as well as your click-through rates if you have links to follow at the end of your article.

Keep this article template beside you when writing your articles. In no time at all, you will find that you will be writing this way by matter of course.

As always...Happy writing!
