This is a more up to date list of the emergency day wedding kit. My philosophy....don't travel without. Please don't be one of those "it won't happen to me brides". This list is a compilation from emails from readers, pre existing lists, and fill out cards that I hand out around my meetings.
No kit would be complete without:
- Pain reliever
- Antihistamines
- Threaded needle
- Safety pins
- Hairpins (all colors/black, brown, and silver)
- White masking tape
- Feminine protection
- Shout wipes
- Makeup
- Contact lens solution & case
- Extra contact lenses
- Comb & brush
- Cell phone & charger
- Scissors
- Nail file, clippers, tweezers
- Hair spray and hair gel
- Nail polish (clear & French manicure colors)Clear nail polish
- Extra hosiery and black socks (for your groom)
- Cotton swabs
- Antacid
- Hand lotion
- White chalk/white out (for scuffed shoes)
- Disposable toothbrush & toothpaste
- Breath freshener (mints or gum)
- Perfume
- small bills for tipping
- Small bottle of water
- Small snack
- Sunblock and Aloe Vera
- Small first aid kit
Just to make these items travel safe. I would suggest putting the lot in a duffel bag, rolling carry case, or even a make up case. You can add and update and keep this as a regular "Life first aid kit" in your car or office, wherever you go.
Come on over to the forum and list your own emergency kit items. You never know what we forgot. This is Sandra Sable signing off, until next time....lets talk weddings.
