Ginette Degner's 4 Tips for E-ntrapranures

Ginette Degner is a busy lady, her work in search engine optimization and affiliate marketing among her many talents. She is a writer, teacher, and web designer. She is also a wife and mother. Yet, she is never to busy to share some of the advice she has learned about working from home.

If you are thinking of using your computer and the Internet to start a job you can do from home, these tips will come in helpful. In fact, the first three are helpful for any home based business.

1. Keep a Business Journal
A Business Journal is a small notebook to write down your ideas, to-do lists, and anything else that comes to mind. You will quickly find this is the most indispensable tool you will ever have. We all have bursts of ideas and I usually have my best ideas when I am doing something fun or creative and away from my office. I carry the journal with me everywhere and have been known to rummage through old journals to put those ideas into action.

2. Set Goals
Set small reachable goals. Examples: write 1 page - 4 paragraphs of content for web site and publish it in Article Announce. Write a review of the product X. Increase visitors to my web site by 100 this month - List the things you will be doing to make the increase in visitors a reality.
Keep your goals specific. When you achieve each goal no matter how small, you will feel a sense of accomplishment which will help keep you on track to set and reach the next goal.

3. Give your business the Time and Attention it deserves.
Many of you participate in affiliate programs or internet businesses as an afterthought or side job. I challenge you to rethink your approach and treat your online businesses or projects as if it was Macy's Department store and you owned it. Set aside a specific time to actively work on your web sites, participate in forums, and log into your affiliate admin center to see what new things have been added.

4. Domains/URLS
Domain names/URLs are your brick and mortar places of business - something to take pride in and build equity in. ( Equity = Unique Content) Domain names are not something you just buy and let sit around or use for the fad marketing hype of the month then dump them. Every Domain name should be at least earning enough to cover your hosting costs.
