Styling your naturally curly hair can be easy if it has a great cut. Curly hair often has to be cut into a shape in order for it to lay in the style when it is dry. It also needs to be treated gently, using moisturizing conditioners and the correct smoothing and curl enhancing products.

The cut:
This style is cut so that it has a blunt line at the bottom. It is angled or ‘stacked’ so that it is fuller at the crown. The top layers are long enough to allow for fullness while still causing the widest area to fall at about eye level. The bangs and sides are left long for added dimension.

The achieve soft, shiny individual curls:
Shampoo and condition with moisturizing products.
Blot your hair dry, comb it, and allow it to air dry for five or ten minutes.
Apply smoothing products. If your hair has a strong curl and has a tendency to frizz, as this hair does, layers of several smoothing products should be applied. The products used to control the curl in this style are: Nioxin Silk Elixir, Kiwi Blow Serum, Nioxin Pure Shine Gel and LC Legacy Styling Glaze.
After the products were applied, the hair was allowed to dry completely before being styled with fingers only.
Loosen the curl slightly in the bangs and sides. - Just enought so that it still blends with the curlier areas.
